The 2022 Grammys [2] are well underway, and there's one person who planned her every detail to a tee: Dua Lipa. Not only did the singer go back to her platinum-blond hair color [3] on the carpet, she also proved that chrome nails [4] are still very much so on trend for spring and summer.
Lipa's manicurist Kim Truong [5] created a chrome nail-art look to match the singer's gold accessories and the hardware on her Versace gown. Truong says that she used Opi Nail Lacquer in Black Onyx [6] ($10) as a base to get the vidid chrome shine. Then, using a sponge-tip applicator, she rubbed on two layers of the Chrome Effects Mirror Shine in Gold Digger [7] ($10) for the metallic, golden finish.
Lipa has become well-known for her manicures and has worn everything from lava-lamp-inspired nails [8] to the maximalist kawaii nail-art trend [9], so it comes as no surprise that she remains ahead of the curve with her latest set of nails. Take a closer look at her manicure below.
