As you may know, adding primer to your makeup routine is a simple way to ensure your powder foundation lasts longer throughout the day. But when you're in a hurry to get out the door, it can be easy to skip over the step — intentionally or accidentally.
Luckily, e.l.f. Cosmetics' latest foundation launch — the Camo Powder Foundation [1] ($11) — takes that issue totally out of the equation: the long-wear formula is actually infused with primer.
Available in 30 different shades, the Camo Powder Foundation is the latest installment in the brand's viral Camo collection. The pressed-powder product offers medium-to-full coverage and a crease-resistant, semi-matte finish.
As a bonus for anyone worried about powders feeling heavy or settling into their pores and causing breakouts, the brand created the blurring powder foundation to be noncomedogenic, with an incredibly lightweight consistency.
As for how to use it? Use the powder sponge (which comes with the product) to apply the foundation to your skin. However, there's nothing stopping you from using your brushes if you prefer to apply powder that way.
Since it's a buildable formula, you can layer the product until you reach your desired coverage. You can also use the sponge to touch up your makeup throughout the day, but since it's a long-wear formula, you might not even need to do that. Still, reapplying may be good for helping to control and manage shine. Generally, powder foundations are a good choice for those with oily skin.
