It's not a trick of the light: Florence Pugh's hair is officially pink. Saying goodbye to her signature blond, Pugh gave her hair the full Barbie treatment, dyeing her fairly new buzz cut [1] an edgy pastel shade even Ken would want his hairstylist to re-create immediately. She debuted the subtle new hair color while attending the Valentino runway show on July 5 during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week.
Pugh's hair color falls somewhere between a blush and the exact shade Barbie's aura emits into the universe. At the base of her head, dark roots blended into a frosty blond topped with a layer of pink. At first glance, the setting sun in Paris almost made the playful hair color seem imaginary, but a closer look proved that the watercolor effect was simply the product of an impressive dye job. Pugh completed her beauty look with brushed-up eyebrows, bold mascara, a rosy lip, and similarly pink cheeks. On her hands, the star also wore vibrant red nails, a stark contrast to her voluminous, purple naked dress [2].
A true hair chameleon, Pugh has been liberal with making tweaks to her hair in the past. In January 2022, the actor showed off a brunette pixie-mullet [3], one of her most daring hair transformations. In 2021, Pugh also dyed the tips of her hair [4] a silvery pastel purple.
