The minimalist glazed-doughnut nails trend [1] is getting a colorful makeover courtesy of Hailey Bieber's nail artist. On April 27, the Rhode founder attended a celebration for the reopening of Tiffany & Co.'s NYC Flagship store alongside stars like Zoë Kravitz, Barbara Palvin, Dylan Sprouse, and more. Embodying Audrey Hepburn, Bieber arrived in Tiffany & Co. jewelry and a little black dress by Versace — the perfect backdrop to show off her "Tiffany glazed" nails in the brand's signature blue.
Bieber's manicure was the work of nail artist Zola Ganzorigt [2], who is also responsible for creating the original glazed-doughnut trend. Over the past nine months, the nail design has seen countless iterations [3], including milky glazed-doughnut nails and the glazed-doughnut french manicure [4]. Like the traditional take on the look, Bieber's "Tiffany blue" set features a delicate sheen achieved using a thin layer of chrome dust on each finger.
On her feet, she wore a matching pedicure that peeked through her peep-toe heeled sandals. Hairstylist Danielle Priano [5] and makeup artist Katie Jane Hughes [6] completed the look with a sleek bun parted to the side and subtle makeup.
On March 15, Bieber launched another nail trend when she debuted a set of "Jordan almond" nails [7] in a candy-coated shade of yellow. A month later, on April 14, she stepped out for Coachella with a glow-in-the-dark manicure [8]. A major departure from her neutral color palette, the tips of her fingers were painted with a fluorescent green polish. Her nail artist finished the design with spidery gold linework that created a marbled effect.
As a canvas for Ganzorigt's work, we can't wait to see what kind of beauty inspiration Bieber delivers next. See her "Tiffany glazed" nails from all angles ahead.
