In a time of intricate, detailed nail-art designs, Jennifer Lopez is making a case for simple milk-bath manicures [2] during the press tour for her upcoming Netflix film, "Marry Me." The star's go-to nail artist Tom Bachik [3] posted a close-up photo of her new manicure on Instagram and captioned it, "A perfect manicure for a perfect @jlo @marrymemovie press day" — and we'd have to agree.

While this nail-art trend tends to be huge in the summer [4], there's no denying that a simple, clean manicure [5] is timeless. For the pared-down mani, Bachik used an opaque, milky-white nail polish shade [6] with a subtle shimmer finish. It looks like J Lo ditched the gel extensions and opted for her natural nails in a soft, oval shape (which Bachik says was created with Tweezerman tools [7] to "shape, file, buff" to get the look).

The milk-bath nail trend is an oldie but goodie, and one you'll definitely want to add to your everyday manicure rotation.
