Jennifer Lopez's '90s Supermodel Nails Perfectly Complement Her Leather Gown

From edgy space buns to frosty eyeshadow, the '90s beauty looks were out in full force at Sunday night's MTV Movie & TV Awards, so it's no surprise the queen of nostalgia herself participated in the trend. Jennifer Lopez rocked '90s-inspired supermodel nails for the occasion as she took home the generation award, which celebrates household names in both film and television.

Courtesy of her go-to manicurist, Tom Bachik, who actually named the trend himself, Lopez wore a simple, sheer nude color on her nails, filed into the popular squoval shape. After the show, Bachik shared he used extension gel tips and soak-off gel polish from Mia Secret, as well as the Tweezerman x Tom Bachik Ultimate Nail Care Set, to create the sleek, beige manicure. For the rest of her beauty look, the singer sported her signature blowout, sparkly eyeshadow, and a nude lip.

While the minimalist manicure has been around for decades, it's seen quite the resurgence in recent months, with celebrities like Kourtney Kardashian, Blake Lively, and Sofia Richie spotted with the pared-down nails. They've particularly become a popular choice for weddings and engagements. Most recently, Lopez wore a jazzed-up version of the supermodel mani, adding gold "J" and "B" letters as initial accent nails for herself and fiancé Ben Affleck. Take a closer look at the star's latest manicure ahead.
