Lana Condor [2] is wearing her aura on her nails. On Jan. 23, the actor posted a picture of a Lunar New Year treat on her Instagram Stories, at the same time showing off her latest manicure [3].

The look, which was done by manicurist Lena Phan [4], was a classic aura manicure [5] — a trend that has been steadily growing more and more popular over the last few months. Condor's iteration saw her nails filed into an oval shape [6] and painted a chocolate brown to start. Then, a pastel purple was added to the middle of the nail.

Aura nails are typically done using an airbrush machine, but you can also achieve the effect at home using a dotting tool and a sheer topcoat to sheer it out. The manicure was a celebrity favorite during the 2022 festival season and was subsequently seen on people like Dua Lipa [7] and Megan Fox [8]. It's known for being very colorful, so if you like a statement nail, this trend is for you. However, if you're more of a minimal-nail-lover, the "Korean blush nails [9]" trend is similar but features a neutral base with a pop of pink or red "blush" for a more subdued look.
