Laverne Cox is a vision in blue at the 2023 Oscars. The actor arrived on the red carpet [2] at the 95th annual Academy Awards in Hollywood wearing a draped black, brown, and turquoise Vera Wang gown and a unique french manicure [3] to match. Pulling in tones from her dress, Cox's almond-shaped nails featured a neutral base with an aqua-blue smile line along the edge. However, instead of the line being curved as you traditionally see in french manicures, the intersecting streaks of color came to a sharp point. Celebrity manicurist Eri Ishizu [4] created the look using Aprés Nail products.

Cox paired her trendy manicure with a slicked-back braided-bun hairstyle [5] and soft makeup. She added a pop of color to her eyes by incorporating gold eyeliner into her lower lash line. Celebrity hairstylist Kiyah Wright [6] was responsible for the bun with something extra, while celebrity makeup artist Deja Smith [7] did her makeup — it's unclear who did the star's nails.
