Live Tinted's Hueguard Is Back in Stock at Ulta! I Love It So Much, I Bought 2 More

I might skip out on my vitamin C [1], stay in cozy pajamas all day long, or swap out my glasses for contacts, however, sunscreen is always a must in my morning routine. Sunscreen helps protect your skin against health issues like melanoma, but also prevents premature aging and hyperpigmentation. As someone who deals with dark spots and hyperpigmentation, I can actually notice my spots getting darker in as little as 24 hours when I skip out on sunscreen. This singular step is an important part of your skin-care routine [2]. That's why I'm super picky when it comes to choosing the best ones. Some leave a white cast, some break you out, some have a weird texture, some burn your eyes like the depths of hell, and some don't play well with other products. It's a challenge to find a sunscreen you want to use every single day.

The texture, the finish, the all-day wear, and everything in between is just *chef's kiss* wonderful.

I finally got my hands on Live Tinted [3]'s Hueguard sunscreen [4] ($32), and I instantly fell in love. It changed my standards for sunscreen forever. I've been following Deepica Mutyala since her red-lipstick hack went viral on the internet and proudly cheered on with the creation of her community-driven brand, Live Tinted [5]. The brand creates problem-solving products specifically for those who feel underrepresented in the beauty space. Everyone of all skin tones should look and feel comfortable and confident in their skin, and the Hueguard is a product that does just that. The sunscreen has absolutely no white cast. Instead, it adds a lovely glow to my complexion [6]. The texture, the finish, the all-day wear, and everything in between is just *chef's kiss* wonderful. The Hueguard is worth every penny if you can get your hands on it before it's sold out again. Keep reading for my in-depth review and see it in action.

What is the Live Tinted Hueguard?

The Huesticks aren't the only multifunctional products in the line. The Live Tinted Hueguard 3-in-1 Broad Spectrum Mineral SPF 30 Primer [8] ($32) sunscreen is a three-in-one product that is a sunscreen, a moisturizer, and a primer. The mineral sunscreen has an SPF of 30, and it's formulated with 18 percent non-nano zinc oxide. It's clean, vegan, cruelty-free, fragrance-free, and reef-safe.

How I Use the Live Tinted Hueguard

After my morning serums, I use around four-six pumps of the Live Tinted Hueguard 3-in-1 Broad Spectrum Mineral SPF 30 Primer [9] ($32) on my face and bring it down to my neck. My skin type is fairly normal, so I don't necessarily need to use a moisturizer before using this product. However, if you do have dry skin, or get drier during the wintertime, you can use a nourishing moisturizer before using the Hueguard. The sunscreen comes out orange at first. With a good amount of blending into the skin, the Hueguard goes from a pasty off-white shade to a transparent, glowy finish.

How the Live Tinted Hueguard Feels

The Live Tinted Hueguard 3-in-1 Broad Spectrum Mineral SPF 30 Primer [10] ($32) is lightweight yet feels moisturizing on my skin. Once it fully sets into my skin, I feel like I have nothing on. My skin feels like my skin, and this is something I could hardly find with most sunscreens. It doesn't break me out, the texture is perfection, and the finish gives me a beautiful glow. This is a sunscreen I want to use every day, and my standards for sunscreen are never going to be the same. The Hueguard set the bar for mineral sunscreens.

It's a great nice primer as well, especially with the glowy, illuminating finish. It gives my skin that glow-from-within look. It does not pill regardless of what I used before or after, even as the day goes on.
