Leave it to Lizzo [3] to give a traditional French manicure [4] the most luxurious spin we've ever seen. The Rumors singer [5] recently posted a series of selfies wearing a gold-tipped french manicure [6] with a sharp stiletto shape [7] and the word "shh" emblazoned on her middle finger. According to the Instagram post, the nails were designed by LA-based (and Lizzo [8]'s go-to) manicurist Eri Ishizu [9].
We've seen plenty of people get creative with their french manicures since the trend's unexpected resurgence in 2018: the glass french manicure [10] is a minimal design featuring transparent tips, while "neon french twist [11]" nails feature tips that are painted with neon colors versus the standard white. At this point, there are about a billion different ways that you can make a classic french manicure stand out, and we're definitely not surprised that Lizzo chose to go the fancy route.
