Fresh off the heels of her first Emmys win, Lizzo [2] might not remember much beyond that epic moment. However, the singer served up a few beauty looks [3] we'd like to revisit — namely, her bright-red jelly nails [4].
The manicure, created by her go-to nail artist, Eri Ishizu [5], gave a sexy twist to the playful '90s nail trend and was a perfect match for her red Giambattista Valli gown. Lizzo's nails were filed into long, sharp stilettos [6] and — staying true to the trend — painted a translucent red shade using OPI GelColor in Red-Veal Your Truth [7] ($20).
This nail look has been seen on celebrities including Kylie Jenner, Selena Gomez [8], and more, and it's considered to be one of the hallmark '90s beauty trends [9] making its way back to mainstream pop culture. From her supermodel lip at last year's Grammys [10] to her "money piece" highlights [11] later that same year, Lizzo continues to make award show red carpets her '90s beauty playground, and we just can't get enough.
