In the heat of the 2023 US Open, Naomi Osaka [2] is making headlines for a different reason. On Sept. 6, the tennis star participated in a mental health forum alongside Michael Phelps [3], titled "Mental Health and Sport: Why It Matters." For the occasion, Osaka revealed a new haircut [4]: bangs.

Accompanied by loose curls, Osaka's fresh cut was a cross between wavy and blunt bangs [5]. They were slightly curled inward to frame her face and the edges perfectly blended into the rest of her hair. She brought the entire look together with a yellow dress that matched her eyeshadow, a nude lip color, and neutral nails. This also marked Osaka's first public appearance since welcoming her first child [6], a baby girl, in July.
