Olivia Rodrigo [1] is a Glossier girl. After previously wearing makeup by the millennial-pink brand to the Met Gala [2] and MTV Video Music Awards [3], the 18-year-old singer again turned to Glossier for her recent appearance at the American Music Awards [4]. Rodrigo contrasted her sequin David Koma dress [5] with muted makeup consisting of bronzed cheeks, a classic cat eye, flicked-up eyebrows, and a brown lip.
Rodrigo's makeup artist, Molly Greenwald [6], shared with us an entire breakdown of the beauty look. First, she prepped Rodrigo's skin with Glossier's Soothing Face Mist [7] ($15), Super Pure [8] ($28), and Priming Moisturizer [9] ($22). Then, Greenwald "warmed her complexion with Solar Paint [10] ($20) in Flare and Ray, with a pop of Cloud Paint [11] ($18) in Dusk mixed with Haloscope [12] ($22) in Quartz across the cheeks." Greenwald added, "I brightened the peaks of her face and under eyes with a bit of Stretch Concealer [13] ($18) in G9 and G11."
The brand's Brow Flick [14] ($18) pen was used to add a flicked-up effect to Rodrigo's eyebrows, while Boy Brow [15] ($16) kept the look in place. For her eyes, Greenwald "used a sheer wash of Skywash [16] ($18) in Echo and Pebble on the lids and kept it simple with a little flick of Pro Tip [17] ($16) and Lash Slick [18] ($16) on curled lashes." For her warm lipstick reminiscent of the shades popular in the '90s, Rodrigo wore Generation G [19] ($18) in Leo on top of a smidge of Cherry Balm Dotcom [20] ($12).
