The 2023 iHeartRadio Awards was one for the books, especially when it came to beauty looks on the red carpet [1]. However, no matter where we looked, there was one trend we kept seeing over and over: "rich girl" nails [2].

We spotted Becky G, who paired her rich-girl manicure with a sheer, showstopping black dress; Nicole Scherzinger, whose minimal manicure looked stunning coupled with her pink cutout dress; and Madison Beer, whose nude nails allowed her glamorous dress to take center stage. And that was only the beginning.

The term rich-girl nails was coined by celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik [3], who has touched the hands of some of the biggest celebrities in the game, like Jennifer Lopez [4], Selena Gomez [5], and Margot Robbie. "Rich-girl nails are a modern take on a sophisticated classic," Bachik previously told POPSUGAR, adding that the color is typically a "creamy, full-coverage nude playing homage to the greige inspiration."

The look, which is minimal yet chic, has been seen on celebrities like Hailee Steinfeld and Marsai Martin [6] and was the trending manicure at the SAG Awards [7] back in February.
