Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are expecting [2] their first child together. The couple made the announcement via Instagram [3] on Jan. 31 with a close-up shot of Rihanna [4]'s pregnant belly. In the baby-bump photos, Rihanna can be seen [5] in a pink puffer coat [6] and a baby-pink manicure to match, which got us thinking . . . is the mom-to-be hinting at something? (There's no sign of blue anywhere, we'll just say that.)
Upon closer investigation, Rihanna [7]'s nails are square-shaped acrylic tips with rounded edges painted in a milky light pink hue [8]. The color is much subtler than her bright pink coat, but still hard to miss. Although the news just broke today, we can't help but wonder if Rihanna's color palette was intentional.
Of course, this is all speculation, but we wouldn't put it past the fashion designer and beauty brand founder to share the news of a baby girl in such a manner. After all, Rihanna has been known to subtly hint at new Fenty Beauty product drops [9] in the past by wearing them out, so it wouldn't be completely out of character for the star.
