When a brand as buzzy as Spectrum Collections [1] announces the launch of a new cosmetics line, you know it's going to live up to the hype. And we can confirm this because we got a sneak preview of the new products (spoiler: they're zodiac-themed). The vegan brand based in Barry, Wales — founded by two inspiring female entrepreneurs [2] — is now a successful makeup brush company. The brand has had previous (and incredibly popular) collaborations with Disney [3] and Mean Girls [4], as well as a zodiac brush collection [5] that launched in 2017.
The new Zodiac cosmetics line has been two years in the making, and on first release, will include a total of six products. The collection features: a nine-pan zodiac eye shadow palette with both shimmer and matte shades (all incredibly wearable and dare we say, incredibly festive [6]), two speckled pressed-powder highlighters in gold and pink, two liquid highlighters in bronze and frosty white — which is a favorite of Katie Jane Hughes, makeup artist behind the new campaign (she even wore it as her Halloween costume [7]) — and a mascara that promises to create natural volume with an intense ultrablack pigment. And if cofounder Hannah Pycroft's selfie wearing the mascara [8] is anything to go by, it might be the new makeup must have you've been looking for. Along with the brand-new makeup, the brand will also relaunch the Zodiac brush set [9] in adorable, handy reuseable pouches.
Like all of the existing products, the Spectrum Collections Zodiac Line is 100 percent vegan and cruelty-free, with a few of the products also halal-certified.
Read on to get a closer look at each of the products, ahead of the launch on Nov. 13.
