Let Sydney Sweeney serve as proof: curtain bangs [2] will never go out of style. On June 14, the actor stepped out at a Bai brand pop-up in New York City. Clad in an pink-and-white ensemble with circular-shaped sunglasses, Sweeney looked every bit like a '70s starlet thanks in part to the last piece of her look: her curtain bangs.
Sweeney's hair was curled away from her face, giving her that '70s-esque Farah Fawcett volume [3]. True to the style, her fringe [4] was parted in the middle and swept to either side to create that "curtain" effect. Her layers [5] were blended into the rest of her hair perfectly, creating a retro, boho-chic feel.
Curtain bangs are making a serious comeback thanks to the return of beauty trends from the past. The style is much more noncommittal than your typical piece-y bang but less dramatic than micro or baby bangs [6], so it feels like that sweet spot between trendy and timeless. Should you also be in your vintage vixen era, take a page out of Sweeney's book and give the trend a try — it looks good on all hair textures [7] so you really can't go wrong.
