While bronzer will always be my favorite makeup product, blush has recently become a close second. A great blush can completely change my makeup look for the better — even more so than foundation or mascara. While recently scrolling through TikTok, I came across a video of a well-known beauty influencer testing out Wet n Wild's MegaGlo Makeup Stick Blush ($5). She compared the blush in shade Peach Bum to another (more expensive) blush that has been sold out for months, and when I saw the similarities between the two products, I knew I had to test the more affordable option ASAP.
I have dry, acne-prone skin, so I look for products that won't exacerbate my skin's dryness or cause any dreaded breakouts. When it comes to makeup, I love cream-based products versus powder because I think the formula works better for my skin. That's just another reason I was excited to test this Wet n Wild product.
The Wet n Wild MegaGlo Makeup Stick Blush is a multi-use product, and it can be used on cheeks, eyelids, and even lips, but I decided to first test it out as a blush. I applied the stick directly onto my skin right above my contour and then I used a blush brush to blend it out. The first time I put it on I immediately noticed how easy it was to glide the product across my skin and how creamy the formula was.
I didn't experience any tugging or pulling on my skin when I was applying it, which was a plus (stick formulas pulling at my skin is a huge pet peeve of mine). This blush blended extremely well into the rest of my makeup and the shade brought my entire makeup look together and added a warmth to my face that I didn't even know I was missing. The first time I tried it, it blended well with my brush, but I've also blended it with just my fingers and it worked just as seamlessly.
While I do have a quite few powder blushes in my makeup kit, I don't think I'll be reaching for them anytime soon. I absolutely love the formula of this blush, and shade-wise, it's perfect for my skin tone. The color is a peachy rose that lives up to its name. It has a sheen similar to a highlighter but without any glitter or sparkles, so I love that I have the option to skip highlighter entirely on the days when I'm wearing it. The pigment is extremely buildable, it looked natural on my skin, and it wore well throughout the day. It lasted me a full eight-hour workday without needing to reapply even once. I've used this blush without other makeup, and it works great with my no-makeup makeup routine.
Priced at just $5, I think this inexpensive product is worth adding to your cart. It's been the perfect addition to my makeup bag. I love that it's compact and can be stored in a purse for easy touch-ups while I'm on the go, and I love how easy it is to apply. It has great pigmentation and is easily buildable, all while being lightweight and easy to wear. This will definitely be my go-to blush from now on, and if you're on the hunt for a new blush, I absolutely recommend this product.
