Not only is working out good for your health, but it can also make you more wealthy! A new study by the Journal of Labor Research revealed that people who work out on a regular basis earn nine percent more than their couch potato peers.
You may start mumbling about "being too busy" or "not having enough time," but it's time to drop the excuses and get to exercising. It will make you feel better, become more productive, and give you more money in the bank. Here are tips that will help you make the transition from idle to fit:
Set a regular time. If you want to make sure you work out regularly, you need to set up a schedule, so you won't make excuses. Then, you can schedule all your tasks and errands around that allotted time. To commit to exercising means prioritizing it. By penciling in a time to burn up some calories, you'll always make time for it. If it seems hard at first, take it one day at a time.
Work out with a friend. Exercising with a buddy is always more motivating than doing it alone. And you'll also have more accountability, because it won't be nice to keep flaking out on your friend for your scheduled workouts.
Do what you can. Don't put too much pressure on yourself and resolve to work out for two hours each time. If you have lofty workout goals, they may be harder to reach.

Get off at an earlier stop. Commuting to work? Get off at an earlier stop and walk to work. Of course, be reasonable with your expectations; it's going to be hard to jog for an hour at seven a.m.!
Get workout tapes. Keep workout tapes at home for when the weather is rainy or if an emergency causes you to get off work late. That way, even if you can't make it to the gym, you can work out from the convenience and comfort of your own home.
Schedule a short walk in the afternoon. Ask a work buddy to join you in a short walk in the afternoon. The walk will help both of you weather the afternoon slump.
Work out during lunch. During your lunch break, take off to a nearby or in-house gym. You can even run around the block where you work if it is not too crowded.
Desk exercises. If you can't get away to work out, consider exercising at your desk. FitSugar has a couple of subtle exercises that you can do without anyone realizing you're workin' those muscles.
