High School GPA

What Kind of Student Were You?

I get a little nostalgic for high school when the Summer comes — for carefree teenage nights, new Summer jobs, and stocking up on new school supplies at the drugstore. I am proud to admit I was always an A-student, but I have lot of friends who are successful and crazy smart adults who snoozed through school and got mostly Bs and Cs. While good grades can open doors, we all know by now that they by no means make or break an adult in the working world. What kind of grades did you typically get in high school?

i always got good grades in high school, but i never really stressed about it. i got a smattering of Bs, but I took a lot of honors and AP classes, so i still had a crazy high weighted gpa.

I got A's, B's, and C's mostly. Occasionally, I would get honor roll.

Always an A, but I was one of those weird kids who loved every subject thrown at them. I've always told myself that if I could afford it, I'd be a professional student.

GPA = 3.975 - only 1 B in my BS degree and I got my B on the very first semester taking History 1. GPA = 4 - straight A on MS degree. :)

C student in high school, 4.0 GPA in college/grad school. It's easier to "know more" and be more engaged when you're working on something pertaining to your interests. It's rare people get psyched for algebra or biology, but when its specific to your hobbies/goal in life, it's easier to actually care and try. Plus you're more mature then anyway.

Grades are so arbitrary. I was a mostly B student in high school, a mostly A student in college, and a straight A student in grad school. They're more reflective of maturity and work ethic than knowledge or intelligence.
