How Do You Unwind After a Rough Day at Work?

I'm Asking: How Do You Unwind After a Rough Day at Work?

Every day is a balancing act, and sometimes all it takes is a little something to shift that balance. Things could be progressing swimmingly when a bomb is dropped that torments the remainder of your day. We have no choice but to move past those rough days, and the process starts as soon as you shut your computer down.

I like do a stress-relieving workout and then watch one of my guilty-pleasure shows on my DVR after a particularly challenging workday. How do you unwind?

Listening to my music is my escape, reading a magazine, napping, the ocassional glass of wine. The TV is usually hogged down by my husband so I really don't watch much of that.

I need help with this too. With the way that things are now, EVERY day is stressful for me. Exercise doesn't work, it just gets my adrenalan going faster, that's why I do that in the AM. I'm trying to mix some moderate exercise (walking around the block with my fiance) with relaxing, sitting on the porch with a glass of lemonade, closing my eyes and relaxing. I'm going to try to do the bath thing.. but I haven't taken a bath since I was about 10! I'm constantly paranoid that if I fill up the entire bathtub with water, it's going to go thru the floor! Ha.

I will usually eat some fruit and watch tv, and am a massive bitch to anyone who tries to talk to me for the first half hour I am home.

I make myself a drink and relax with a magazine while I watch some TV. It usually works to make me forget about how crazy the day was.
