Definitely nightmares. I sometimes have trouble going to sleep at night if I know that there's an important meeting the next day, which could somehow go awry and it would be my responsibility. No fun :(

I dream about work plenty. But I wake up in the middle of the night and lie there thinking about work, unable to go back to sleep for hours, much more often.

Thankfully, I very rarely dream about work. I'm always mad when I do because it's never anything interesting. My dreams are usually totally bizarre, but when I dream about work, I just dream about things I would normally be doing if I was there, nothing out of the ordinary. So when I wake up, I feel like I've already been at work and I'm always disappointed that I still have to go in.

Up until 3 months ago I was a television news producer. I always had dreams about not making air. Once I even had a dream that I left the control booth for a minute and all of the wrong cameras and tapes starting getting punched up on air... I ran back to yell at the director and it was my mom. :o People have had a lot of fun psycho-analyzing that dream!

I will be dreaming about how to resolve a problem at work then I will wake up with the solution. Crazy, It is like my unconscious mind likes to write software code. I need a vacation.

I used to work at Starbucks and would constantly dream of making lattes all night long. Then, I would have to wake up at 4 a.m. to open the store by 5 a.m. to actually make the drinks! Needless to say, I had to quit due to sleep deprivation.

When I worked at an ear-piercing kiosk at a mall I used to have piercing nightmares ALL the time. I don't miss that job.

I still have at least one nightmare per month involving an extremely hectic, emotionally intense (due to high responsibilities) job I held for 4 years, but quit almost 2 years ago. But my current nightmares are manageable and tame compared to how they used to be when I still had that job. My dreams were carbon copies of my daily worst experiences at the place so I felt like I never actually left the place and could never get away, which became a major factor in the panic attacks and mental breakdown I had. Thankfully, I quit for my health.

oh yes... but i usually dream i´m late and then i´m fired because i was very very late. In my last job, my boss would complain even if i arrived 3 minutes late. And i used to dream i only got there in the evening because i was sleeping or forgot, and then i had to find an excuse foi being late. lol Now my boss doesn´t even notice if i get in late.

When I am really overwhelmed at work I tend to have nightmares about certain projects. That is always freaky. Happened Monday night actually. :)

Yes, always nightmares and negative things. It sucks when I'm stressed when I wake up in the morning, and then I have to go to work!

I guess my mind is always on Team, as I have dreamt about blogs, new features and yes, even the most active users sometimes make it into my dream. ;-) The only nightmare I've had is when I woke up thinking I forgot to send everyone their birthday wish for that day but thankfully, it was just a dream.

I have nightmares about work at least twice a week. I dream that I forgot to take my samples off the heat block and left my proteins to boil all night. I dream that I forgot to properly program the AKTAexplorer and it rerouted my purified protein into the waste. I dream that I forgot to put my cells back in the incubator and my toxicity studies have been ruined. The worst part is that these nightmares strike such fears in me, probably at least once a month I wake up in a panic at 3am and GO TO THE LAB to make sure that my nightmare isn't a reality. Plus, I have general dreams on whatever I'm studying, not just my hands on benchwork. I once dreampt that I was being chased by a clip protease and I had to come up with the proper amino acid mutation in the active site or else I would be eaten alive. Perhaps a sign that my 80 hour weeks are stealing my sanity?

When I dreamed about my last job, they weren't very pleasant ones. They were definitely nightmares! Maybe it was all a sign to have parted ways with it!

You know, I don't think I have ever had a dream about my job. In fact I don't think I have ever dreamed about any job...unless you include my time as a Resident Advisor. I still have nightmares about being an RA. :)

Yes, I have. But it's normally when I forgot or didn't get around to doing something and I dream out what I was supposed to do. Meh, I guess I'm prepared for the next day.
