What Are the Monday Blues?

Do You Get the Monday Blues?

Many people view Mondays differently. Some people are excited about the fresh start to the week; a chance to catch up on things they didn't get to accomplish next week and a day to spend the energy they've built up during the relaxing weekend. Others want Monday to never come and would love the chance to hang on to their weekend.

Those who dread the first day of the week have what is called the "Monday blues," which is triggered by a decrease in the type of happiness felt over the weekend, according to some research done by the University of Virginia. Do you get a case of the Mondays or are you the type who can't wait to start workin' the grind again?

I agree with RoaringSilence. When you hate your job, you don't want your weekend to be over.
