Day to day I find my work is more stressful. I always have loads of savings which I never touch so I guess that covers the money side, but if I start thinking about having a family then I stress about how I'll continue earning enough to support my lifstyle.

I said work but what I mean by that is currently I am not working which is pretty stressful of course. Money wouldn't be a problem if I had a job so work issues are bigger for me.

I definitely think money is more stressful because when you work you are earning money so you know that money is going towards your debt.

Well, I'm stressed about my job because I am getting half of the hours I should be, which means half of the pay check I should be getting, which makes me stressed about money. So, I wish there was a both option!

Work stresses me more. My job is extremely hectic and stressful right now and I don't really worry too much about money because my husband generally pays all the bills automatically with our checking account. And bill-paying is the only thing money-related that ever stresses me out for some reason. It's not having enough to pay the bills; it's the actual act of PAYING them. Weird, I know.

Def. money. I never seem to have enough month at the end of my money. Drives me nuts, however, all bills are paid.

I agree with OH. You could pay me twice as much as I get paid now and it wouldn't relieve the stress. I just have a stressful job.

What about teachers? Firefighters? Police officers? Those are some pretty high stress/high responsibility positions that are not paid a great deal.

i'd say that the people who make the most in this world are always working and have more responsibility, so yes, i would say that's a lot more stressful than your average retail position making $10 an hour

Money. It doesn't matter how much I have, how much of a security net i build with it because their is no one I can turn to when I am in need, money always causes me enormous stress. I don't get excited when I have more money, I get more stressed and frightened. Someone says "money" and my stomach starts hurting.

so jobs paying more money are inherently more stressful? i totally disagree.

the people who are more stressed about money probably aren't in a job to really stress to much over i am way more stressed about my work...i make enough money i don't have to worry about cash flow but my job, as a result, is stressful

Work. It makes me unhappy, and that's the kind of stress you can't shake off. I worry about money sometimes, but it's not a pervasive thing.

Nothing could possibly stress me out more than my non-working experiments keeping me from getting my Ph.D.

Money. I love my job and it doesn't cause me much stress at all (I guess I would love to make more money, but the work itself doesn't cause me much stress). I worry about money constantly! I've really got to stop myself - I am very lucky to have a roof over my head and food to eat. But I'm a worrier - and I'm a worrier mostly about money.

Work. My job is so stressful. I make decent money and it totally does not make up for the stress. I worry about money sometimes because we're basically living on one income and have tons of debt, but it doesn't keep me up at night or cause my heart to race like work does. UGH

My work actually stresses me out right now. Sometimes I feel so done with this that I would love to just walk away. I'm not in any financial position to do so but if it came down to lower pay (but not too much lower) but a job I could love, I would have to say goodbye.

i hate my job and it doesn't pay enough, but its the money that stresses me out more. rent is expensive!

Money. I'm secure in my job. My job stress is high, but I like it. When momney gets tight, I panic. I like my comfort zone in my bank account. When something big happens that drains that, I stress. Big time.

Money. I like my job and am competent enough to perform my duties. It's the factor of balancing my finances that vexes me.
