Would You Rather Be an Author or a Book Critic?

It's hard to pass judgment on a career you haven't had, but forget education, relevant experience, and interview contacts for a second. Which career do you think is cooler?

I already work as a book critic and because of this, I would never want to be an author!

I'm with bengal, but I picked author because of the creativity involved

I think book critic would be more fun because you get to read many different books and write about them. As an author, you'd only write and re-write and revise about one or two a year. I think I would be sick of it after awhile.

both are very interesting, but an author needs to be creative, and i like it

I'd love to be either, but I'd rather be an author.

I would rather be an editor.

I'd rather be an author because it lets you be more creative. Being a book critic would probably be easier though...you don't have to actually write anything, lol!

I think being an author would be cooler, but harder. I'd rather be the book critic.
