Is $10 Million for Jolie-Pitt Baby Photos Too Over the Top?

The celebrity baby photo market just keeps getting crazier, and the newest estimate is that the Jolie-Pitts could fetch up to $10 million for the first photos of their new twins. (Also, twins? I'm still not sure I believe that.) People supposedly paid J. Lo and Marc $6 million for photos of their babies, while Christina reportedly got $1.5 million. The whole thing seems pretty ridiculous, but we do love seeing the final product. What do you think — are celebrity baby photo prices too outrageous these days?

The money going elsewhere because it does not sell makes no sense. Who cares if it will not sell once they payday has been reaped? In case of the JoliePitts who cares? $10mil will be going to help so many in these times where charity giving is gotten so tough; where people will see The Dark Prince at $10 2 and a 3rd times easier than they will donate. People are so judging and I do not think any of it would be discussed if it were not about the JoliePitt family. They did not invent selling photos contrary to what some would like to suggest but they are the beginners of giving over proceeds yet they get the gruff.

it's going to charity so i say it's fair. exorbant, but fair.

Hopefully all of it goes to charity again in typical Brangelina fashion. That could really do so much.

Those Jolie-Pitt's unborn babies are worth more than money. I am just happy to see them born in this world. Go Jolie-Pitt Clan!!!

I dont think its too much in the case of Brad and Angie, we know the money will be used for a good cause.

I'm gonna say no, because this money is going to charity. Overall, it's so sad that magazines are willing to pay that much money for pictures and people aren't even making that amount in a years work

As for JLo and MA, they suck. They need to give a little of their "bling" money back to the community. Jenny from the block my a$$. (or hers, I should say)

10 Mil is a little much, but if it all goes to charity, I don't care how much People dish out for pics!!

Brad and Angelina put the money in a foundation but they only donated about $2,500,000 out of it and look at all the publicity it got them. It also was a good tax write off. I just don't feel right about selling your kids for charity. There will be pictures of them later. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ How do we know that? I've never seen any verification that either Brad or Angelina received anything from the sale of Shiloh's photos. The foundation wasn't even established at the time the photos were sold. It is just as likely that the $$$ went directly from People/Hello! to the charities via Getty Images. The foundation gave out $2,500,000 in 2006, not last year. That is over 25% of their assets -- very commendable in 6 months -- compared to other foundations that give as little as 5%, which is mandatory, to retain their tax exempt status. We don't know what the put into the foundation in 2007 or what the foundation gave in 2007. We know that Brad said the $5 million pledge for came from The J-P Foundation. Anyone who donates gets a tax break as it reduces their taxable income. AJ/BP aren't even in the top 1% of earners in this country but I'll bet they are up there in the ratio of what they earn to what they give. What do you mean there will be picture of them later? You are essentially saying it is OK for the ratzis and tabloids and internet gossip sites to make money off the J-P kids, but not the J-P Foundation, right?

$10 mill for Brangie baby photos is NOT at all too much because you know they're going to donate it to charity. But even a buck would be too much if the celeb gets to keep the money.

um seriously, there is something wrong with a society that even poses a question about celebrity baby pictures worth MILLIONS of dollars! We are all so jaded (me too, here I am posting on a gossip website, about Celebrities) that we lose sight of how much money that is and what good it could do. The headlines today in my local paper (SF) are about cutting city jobs because the city is in debt. Why don't we invest in the future of OUR kids and give money where it is needed so the parks are safe, hospitals well staffed, streets clean, homeless shelters open etc... I could go on and on. Yes it is a ridiculous amount of money for a baby picture on a magazine. We need to wise up!

I am sure that they would donate it to charity or something good.

I just don't feel right about selling your kids for charity. There will be pictures of them later. I don't buy the magazines anyway. You can see it all on line. They have plenty of money, they don't have to sell pictures to have money to donate. She also had Pax on the front page. US Weekly had a contest about who was the cutest kid. I would feel awful for my kids if there was such a comparsion of them. Aren't they all equal? It just isn't fair to the kids. A price just shouldn.t be put on them.

It seems pretty extreme the amounts of money given for the baby photos, but I guess if the magazines are willing to pay that much, there's not a lot that can be done.

that's insane.

Unless they use the money for something good (which i'm sure Agie and Brad will do) they shouldn't accept money for their kids pictures. Isn't that like pimping their new borns??

I'd say yes, because knowing these two, most if not all of it will probably go to charity!

I know that they r really famous but seems like there have been so many celeb babies being born recently. I don't know how interested ppl will be with another celeb baby cover issue. I know that I won't be bothered to buy since I will eventually get to see them on the Internet. Actually, I will be just fine even if I never see the babies picture. All babies look the same.
