I just saw Juno, and it deserved an award, for sure. It's a great little movie with so much heart. I'm happy to see it getting many other awards and hope that the people who vote for the Oscars wake up and vote for Juno! :)

I can't believe that the strike is still ongoing. Give the writers what they want! The Broadway stagehands' strike ended after two weeks or so.

Ok first off...I just saw There Will Be Blood and I'm sooooooooo happy DD-Lewis won! He was incredible. Totally deserved it. Also...Javier Bardem was crazy freaky in No Country. Another deserving win. Loved his performance. I'm with you guys on Hugh Laurie. He's hysterical.

Juno didnt win anything because it wasnt that good, talk about overhyped. I cant believe atonment won, because again.....overhyped. I watched only abouty 5 minutes of E! coverage, the woman picture above had no idea how to speak into a microphone without sounding her "t"s like bombs dropping. Plus, ryan seacrest...commenting? boring. boring, boring.

*sigh* George Clooney didn't win again :(, but Daniel Day-Lewis performance is hard to beat. I am really happy for Johnny Depp !! :)

Honestly I like that the Golden Globes are this way, I kind of like it better this way. There is too much emphasis and money spent on award shows that could be put to better use. I am sorry though that the writer strike still continues, that is the realy travesty!

I don't even watch House but Hugh Laurie has the best jokes hands down at the GG.

wow i think that i got quite a few correct in my picks , but there were still some major surprises - 30 rock not winning , and David Duchovny's win also.

Yeah I agree , definitely miss the fashion parade. but most of all I miss the speeches, at the GG's the speeches are usually so funny/witty so it's sad we don't get to see that - even though Hugh Laurie didn't win this year , i'm sure they would have had him present an award or something , cos he always has the best quips of the night.

Johnny won!!! But he will have a very little chance against DD-Lewis!! NOOOOO!!!
I don't like this at all. I miss the gowns and speeches. I was happy for Johnny and Cate. Very happy for them. I was sad Angelina lost. This Julie Christie must have been good to keep beating Angie. I hope this WGA strike ends very soon.

Cherryice, your comment is not politically incorrect but misses the point of the strike, the writers are not striking for more money but for a share of the money made in new medium from the stuff they have already created. The studios make billions, the writers want a wafer thin portion of this. The AMPTP are the ones not coming back to the table.

While I agree that it does suck for us entertainment whores to have to miss out on watching the Globes, I would disagree that anything about this was an embarrassment to the talented actors who won. I am sure they are all pleased beyond belief to have won tonight. The fact that it wasn't broadcast to all of us on our couches doesn't mean they weren't honored well or enough.

funny how a three hour ceremony gets cut down to thirty minutes if that. I miss the golden globes, they are my favorite award show. Something felt missing in my heart: the drunk celebrities, the red carpet, the speeches the dresses the list goes on. But god was mary hart annoying. It was hard to watch when she announced the categories and the winners.

Oh, I was getting the NBC broadcast which is on right now. Didn't know E had it earlier.

oh man, it was hard to watch this! I watched the press conference on Larry King, and I'm watching the NBC West Coast broadcast now, and it's such a letdown. I honestly didn't expect to miss the speeches as much as I did.

Hey Ginger - it was on E! on the West coast at 6 pm (I'm in Cali), so I am not sure what you are talking about!!
