Stars from Jared Leto to Robert Redford came together for the New York Film Critics Circle Awards in NYC on Monday night to receive honors and cheer on fellow actors and directors. The event wasn't centered on anyone specific, but Cate Blanchett stole the show, with many fellow attendees spotted laughing with her or stopping to congratulate her for her best actress win for Blue Jasmine. Cate even managed to upstage Bradley Cooper, who took the podium to accept Jennifer Lawrence's best supporting actress award on her behalf. The American Hustle star was filming and could not attend, much to the audience's dismay, but Bradley read a few hilarious words she had prepared. Unfortunately, it wasn't all warm welcomes for award winners. The best director winner, 12 Years a Slave's Steve McQueen, was heckled by film critic Armond White, who called him an "embarrassing doorman and garbage man."
