Aaron Taylor-Johnson and his wife, Sam Taylor-Johnson, are celebrating 11 years of marriage this year. The couple first met in 2008 on the set of "Nowhere Boy," and three years later, they tied the knot at Babington House in the UK. Aaron and Sam now have two kids together, daughters Wylda and Romy, while Sam shares daughters Angelica and Jessie with ex-husband Jay Jopling.
"I met Sam as actor and director. I think we're really great at collaborating. But that's not why I fell in love with her," Aaron told Esquire [1] in August 2023. "I was going to have a big family. I knew I was going to be a young father. I knew I was going to have many kids."
Referencing his marriage, Aaron added: "I've got really nothing to hide, and I'm secure in what we have. But I'm not going to unlock things that are actually precious to me."
When Aaron took home his first Golden Globe [2] for his performance in "Nocturnal Animals" in 2017, the English actor praised his wife in his speech, calling her his "soulmate." In June 2022, the couple renewed their vows for their 10th wedding anniversary. The couple met on the set of their movie "Nowhere Boy," in which Aaron starred as John Lennon and Sam directed. "I remember it very, very clearly. I know exactly what she was wearing. This white shirt that she still has, that I love. It definitely changed my life, though not in the way I expected," Aaron recalled to Harper's Bazaar [5] in 2019. According to the couple, the two "were very professional through the entire film." Sam added, "But everyone on set knew. And as soon as we finished, he told me he was going to marry me. We had never been on a date, or even kissed."

Aaron proposed to Sam exactly one year after they first met. "A year to the minute after we met, exactly one year to the minute, I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me," he told Harper's Bazaar.
