Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin Evaluation the Morning After — Super Hosting or Total Snoozefest?

Alec Baldwin buried his face in his Oscars program as his driver checked out the minor damage from backing into a taxi outside the Sunset Marquis at the end of last night. Most of you thought that Neil Patrick Harris stole the show with his opening number, but it was Alec and Steve Martin's job to keep the show going all night long. The two hosts had some highlights throughout the telecast like the Paranormal Activity spoof and Snuggies. So tell us, after sleeping on it, what do you think about Steve and Alec's performance — super hosting or total snoozefest?

had fun watching the Oscars this year. thought they were funny and cute, no inside jokes, which always bother me (its world wide!). i like the part where people like Oprah give a brief intro of the person nominated. makes it special.

There were a few good laughs but I wasn't very impressed. Honestly there was no way they could live up to Hugh Jackman

I thought they were funny, but you could tell that Alec was nervous, this isn't his normal setting. Unfortunately no matter how great the presenters are, there's always the rest of the show. They can't be on the stage every second. I enjoyed their bits though.

I thought Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin were great. I was watching the show with a group of people whose ages ranged from 15 - 76 and it seemed really evident that the hosts went over big with middle-aged and up. Younger people didn't find it as funny - witness the Twilight gang and Zach Efron et al in the audience. They seemed either lost or totally unimpressed. Oh well, I thought it was great...witty banter rather than hit-you-over-the-head funny.

It was a cheesefest, and every joke was predictable.
