Amy Schumer is a married woman! The 36-year-old comedian wed 37-year-old chef Chris Fischer [1] in Malibu, CA, after nearly three months of dating on Tuesday. Amy stunned in a strappy white dress [2], while Chris looked dapper in a black suit. A comedian reportedly officiated their nuptials [3], while the couple read their own vows. The secret ceremony brought out Amy's family and closest friends, including Jennifer Lawrence [4], Aidy Bryant, Vanessa Bayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jennifer Aniston, Chelsea Handler, Larry David, David Spade, and Judd Apatow.
"It was beautiful," Jennifer gushed to ET [5]. "It was very sudden, but it was, I was sobbing the whole [time]. His vows were stunning. It's when two people really love each other and they really mean it, it shows, and it was a beautiful ceremony and an amazing time. I couldn't be happier for them."
Shortly after the news broke on Thursday, Amy shared an Instagram album from her wedding, as well as a few snaps on her Instagram story. "Yup," she simply captioned the album. She also shared a note with her fans [6], which reads as follows:
2 things:
No I'm not pregnant. And no gifts but thank you for asking. Instead please consider [a] donation to Everytown for gun safety. Thought of Mayce and Jillian a lot yesterday and sending love to everyone who has been affected by gun violence.
Rumors of a romance between Amy and Chris first began swirling back in November when the couple were spotted enjoying a romantic dinner date at Café Altro Paradiso [7] in NYC. It also turns out that Chris's sister is Amy's personal assistant, so maybe that's how they met? Congrats to the newlyweds!
