Andrew Garfield is currently blowing audiences away with his performance in Broadway's Angels in America, but it was his impassioned speech during the Tony Awards [1] that really made people tear up. While accepting the award for best performance by an actor in a leading role in a play, the 34-year-old dedicated his first Tony win to the LGBTQ+ community. Aside from deeming his role as Prior as the "profound privilege" of his life, he also took a moment to recognize "the countless LGBTQ people who have fought and died" for the right to "live and love as we are created to." See his beautiful speech above.
