Angelina Jolie Gives Birth to Twins

Angelina Jolie Gives Birth To Her Twins!

After a long day of rumors it's confirmed, Angelina Jolie gave birth to twins late Saturday in Nice, France. It's a boy and a girl for Angelina and Brad, named Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline. Angelina's doctor said, "The babies are doing well. The operation went just perfectly...Angelina is in very good spirits. Brad Pitt was at her side. He was there and all was well...The mother and father are very, very happy." Congrats and we can't wait to see the two new additions to the Jolie-Pitt family!

Oh, and lastly, how is Angie trapping Brad? She was a mother before Brad and he was the one who brought up the idea of having biological children. Its not like Angelina forced him to stay with her by getting pregnant, he has wanted kids for a long time!

Wow some of these posts on here are ludicrous. Ok, first of all, I'm sure that Angelina forced Brad to have sex with her while he was married to Jennifer Aniston and that innocent Brad was helpless to her seductive charms :oy: GET OVER IT!!! It was 3-4 years ago! Even Jennifer Aniston said that she doesn't believe that Brad cheated. Geez, this is old news... As for the IVF rumors and scienfitic gender selection, why can't it just be possible that they conceived fraternal twins (who happened to be a boy and a girl) the old-fashioned way? I doubt that Angelina, who is only 33 years old by the way, would be trying soooo hard for more biological children that she would need to do IVF when she was content with only having adopted children before she met Brad, and they had only adopted Pax a year earlier and welcomed Shiloh the year before that (and she was conceived on the first try, might I add!). Of course, there is a chance of secondary infertility but like I said I don't think they were in a hurry or so eager to have more biological children immediately that they needed to do IVF. Besides, they probably had twins due to a genetic disposition and the fact that they have twins on both sides of the family, like Julia Roberts and her twins. In response to bitterliberation's comment, just because you know a couple people who happened to have twins and they turned out to each have a boy and a girl doesn't mean that its the same for everyone. Marcia Cross from Desperate Housewives publicly admitted that she used IVF and she had twin girls. And Brad and Angie obviously didn't select the genders of their babies if Angelina said that they were unaware of the sexes prior to birth. And honestly, why would they would go to that much trouble? I just don't understand why people jump on every little aspect of their personal life and try to make it a controversy. "Oh no, Angelina is wearing red!! It must mean that she is the devil!" :oy:

Congrats to the Jolie-Pitts! I knew they would have the babies when I'm on vacation and have barely any access to a computer...grrrr. But thats great that everyone is doing well and I like the name Vivienne but Knox hasn't grown on me yet. The name Vivienne is sweet, though.

ilikeatea, you're right. It happens too often where the woman gets called a "homewrecker" and the guy ignored. I however, don't agree with that and I can't STAND these two for just that reason. No, I don't "know" what happened, but we all get to make choices about who we like or dislike, and I don't like these two. Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins are another couple that should go away. And yes, I put these two in the same waters as them. And also as Jane Fonda. They should all just disappear, the world would be a brighter place.

Hard Knox for Jolie-Pitt boy, but Vivienne shines By The Associated Press Associated Press Writer Knox Leon's first report card wasn't great. Or maybe it's just that his twin sister, Vivienne Marcheline, ruined the curve. When babies are born to celebrities, the burning question — after establishing that everyone's healthy, of course — is inevitably, "So what's the name?" Blame it on Suri, Apple, Moses, Shiloh, Pilot Inspektor and Sunday Rose. Famous people just can't seem to help but hang interesting monikers on their kids. The Associated Press asked a few baby-name experts — people who make their living consulting regular folks on christening their offspring — to break down celeb baby names as they happen and assign them a letter grade. We start with the twins born to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt on Saturday in Nice, France. (Maybe you'd heard?) ——— EXPERT: Whitney Walker, co-author with Eric Reyes of "The Perfect Baby Name" and consultant through SPECIALTY: Phonetics and rhythm — how names sound and flow together. IMPRESSIONS: "Knox Leon has the short 'O' vowel sound in both names, so they match. ... Vivienne Marcheline is kind of a mouthful, but rhythmically it goes together because both names are French, with the accent on the last syllable. "It seems they've got some kind of fixation with always having an 'X' in the boy's name. ... It used to be people named their kids with the same first letter; people frown on that now as a little too cliche. But she wants them to have something in common. And 'X' is unusual, it stands out. "I'm sure she's going to call them Knox and Viv, and the 'V' and the 'X' kind of tie them together. ... She's going to say these names together a lot; you want them to sound good together, and not be too disjointed." GRADE: Knox Leon: B-minus, Vivienne Marcheline: B-plus. ——— EXPERT: Maryanna Korwitts, author of "Name Power 101" and founder of SPECIALTY: The holistic approach, from sounds and meanings to the impact of names, possible nicknames — even initials — on personality traits. IMPRESSIONS: "So with Knox Leon, we see they're picking the boys' names with an 'X' at the end. ... In an associative sense, I wouldn't give it a good grade; makes you think of 'hard knocks,' or knocking someone on the side of the head. We also have Fort Knox. That is something I would steer clear of — you want to think ahead of what kids will face in school. "On a subliminal basis, it will encourage him to be very physical, very stubborn, and to be someone who will always want to do it himself. ... I think this could be a child that might be difficult to discipline. "Vivienne, this particular name is one that comes back — we're seeing it more and more (Rosie O'Donnell's daughter is Vivian Rose). It's got some difference to it, yet it's still not out-of-the-box totally. It's another name that will create a lot of independence and stubbornness. That may be a positive with twins — that they may be their own people. A little bit longer, probably will be 'Vivvy,' so that could work out quite well." GRADE: Knox Leon: D-plus, Vivienne Marcheline: C. ——— EXPERT: Jennifer Moss, author of "The One-in-a-Million Baby Name Book" and founder of SPECIALTY: Practicality. "We're not numerologists, and we're not psychics," she says. Moss focuses on the research process, looking for influences such as family history and life experiences. IMPRESSIONS: "Knox is an interesting name. It seems to be a family name on Brad Pitt's side; he also is a big collector of the Scottish artist Archibald Knox. The 'X' at the end seems to run in the family! But people commenting on our site aren't quite getting the whole 'Knox' thing. It has been a trend to use family surnames as first names — Madison was the biggest one. ... But Knox is also a verb, and will be identified with 'school of hard knocks.' ... On the positive side, it's easy to spell, it's easy to pronounce, and it's easy to remember. "I think Vivienne Marcheline is a very feminine, very beautiful name. Members on our site are responding very well to it. ... I think it'll bring popularity to French names. ... It's a very long name. And when she says it, she's going to have to spell it for people." GRADE: Knox Leon: B, Vivienne Marcheline, A. ——— COMPOSITE PANEL GRADES: Knox Leon: C, Vivienne Marcheline: B-plus.

* "would never sleep with a married man's wife," hahaha that was a major typo! I meant, "a married man"!

Likeatea- yeah, there was a study recently about naming the top 5 celebs you love, and the top 5 you hate. I think almost everyone named all female celebs as the ones they hated, and males as the ones they loved. It's so easy for people to villify women. I mean, Brad Pitt was the one married to Jennifer Aniston, yet Angelina Jolie is the "homewrecker" and Brad Pitt is the one to get hypnotized by her? How does that even make sense? I would never sleep with a married man's wife, and I would certainly think he would be more responsible for wrecking the marriage than I would be! And even though I think what happened was shady, at least in the fact that they moved on so publicly so soon, before the divorce was finalized, we DON'T know what happened. And I adore seeing pictures of the family and their kids, no matter what, and I just hope that Angelina, Brad AND Jennifer, and anyone really, finds happiness.

I think the reason these posts get so heated is that this couple they really challenges our ideas of family and commitment. I do adore this couple, yet they did get together in the midst of divorce, and even IF there was no infidelity, it was shady. As Acyl pointed out, the term "out of wedlock" relating to their kids is so incredibly outdated and comical! When so many marriages end in divorce, I think our idea of marriage and family are changing, and Brad and Angelina almost seem like poster kids for the new idea of family. Both are divorced, and they didn't remarry, yet many of us still love seeing pictures of them as a family. Anyway, I think a lot of people made some good points. Soulkey-lol you are so right about the fact that if Angelina "stole" Brad with her magical vagina that he probably wasn't all that great to start out with. Yeah, I would HATE to be Jennifer Aniston in this situation, but the more we pity her, the more pathetic we make her! I'm sure it was incredibly hard on her, but hopefully her entire life wasn't dependent on being married to Brad Pitt, and it's really disgusting when we make it seem like it is!

Bitterliberation "my whole point is that angie is a home-wrecker and no one can deny that. but u guys just seem to be changing the subject" I don't pretend to know what happened in the relationship, I guess what really bothrs me is the double standard. Brad doesn't seem to be seen in the public as having any responsibility in the matter Double standard. They are grown adults and he has as much respnosbility as her. If he indeed cheated on Jennifer Aniston I find it sad that Angelina gets all the slack and he doesn't.

WHO CARES that they had them "out of wedlock?" Who uses that phrase anymore? Today marriage isn't as important and certainly if you don't want to do it, you don't have to. Props to Brad and Angelina for not bending to what some in society expect.
