Angelina Jolie Goes to Amsterdam to See an International Criminal Court Trial
Angelina Jolie smiled as she entered an Amsterdam hotel today. It seems the actress is off in Europe following a short stay in LA. Angelina left LAX with Shiloh and Zahara, her two oldest daughters, on Monday. The past week has been full of more travel than usual for the jet-setting Angelina. She appeared at NYC's Women in the World Summit, then headed to New Orleans to meet up with Brad Pitt for his Make It Right NOLA charity gala on Saturday. They spent just one day in LA, and then it was off to the Netherlands.
Angelina checked out a trial at the International Criminal Court while in Amsterdam. She was on hand to watch proceedings against Thomas Lubanga, a Congolese rebel, who's accused of using child soldiers. He was convicted of the charges today. Commenting after the verdict, Angelina said, "'This is their day — where these children will feel there is no impunity for what happened to them, for what they suffered."
