Avril Lavigne has confirmed that she is suffering from undisclosed health issues. The news surfaced earlier this week when a fan Twitter account shared screenshots of a DM conversation it had with Avril where she made a reference to personal problems and health issues. "I feel bad because I haven't been able to say anything to the fans to let them know why I've been absent," Avril wrote. "I'm torn as I'm quite private . . . I'm not feeling well. I'm having some health issues. So please keep me in your prayers." The singer confirmed the authenticity of the DM conversation when she retweeted the screenshots [1], thanking her fans for wishing her a speedy recovery. Her rep also later confirmed that the exchange was authentic [2].

There is no word on exactly what is wrong with Avril; however, her rep previously stated that she is not pregnant [5]. Avril has been keeping a low profile after rumors of marriage trouble with husband Chad Kroeger [6] popped up earlier this year.
