The actor, who is currently filming the '20s-era flick Live by Night in LA, was photographed on set in a backless hospital gown that showed off the huge, colorful phoenix tattoo on his back. Being that the phoenix is a symbol of rebirth that literally rises from its own ashes, it could be that Ben got the massive piece as a metaphor for his life and career, as a way of dealing with his split from wife Jennifer Garner [2] earlier this year, or, as one POPSUGAR editor mused, "Maybe he's a big Dumbledore fan [3]."
