Ben Affleck is reportedly seeking treatment for alcohol addiction [1] for the third time, TMZ reports. On Wednesday, the 46-year-old was photographed leaving his home and headed to a treatment facility after Jennifer Garner [2] apparently staged an intervention.

Ben first entered rehab for alcohol addiction in 2001, and then again [3] in 2017. Back in March 2017, Ben revealed in a Facebook post [4] that he had completed treatment, thanking his family and friends for their love and support. "I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be," he wrote. "I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it, and to be a source of strength for anyone out there who needs help but is afraid to take the first step."

Ben recently split from girlfriend Lindsay Shookus [5] and has been spending time with 22-year-old Playboy model [6] Shauna Sexton. According to Us Weekly, Jen is neither pleased with nor surprised [7] by the news. "Jen has come to expect this from Ben. She's not going to get involved. She can't make decisions for him," the outlet reported. "Jen realized a long time ago that she cannot fix Ben and that his problems are not hers to solve." Ben and Jen have three children together [8], daughters Violet and Seraphina and son Samuel.
