la la la im not listening! hehe! this chick is nutso! she is not sick, instead she infecting the free world with the virus commonly known as s.s.d.d. syndrome and quite frankly, I suffered from s.s.d.d. a long, long time and got the secret serum so I can't get infected now. hahaha brit brit take that, I'm immune to your tiresome, blah blah blah issues. you had the world at your fingertips and you lost your frickin' marbles so go into hiding at some random, trash motel with your little crutch boy and never come out. ok, grr moment over. peace!

I think that Britney's parents saying their child is in the throes of a mental health crisis is good cause to suspect mental illness, serious drug addiction of some sort, or both, rather than 100% a "trashtastic slorebag." (not that anyone said this was 100% the case, just couldn't resist quoting the phrase) The fact that it was a lawyer-type person, and not a doctor, behind her leaving the hospital leads me to think that a mental illness is NOT ruled out. "Blame," "fault" and even "sympathy" are magic words in these threads...regardless of if you're talking about anybody, everybody or nobody. I think most agree on at least some other issues (the paps are annoying, why is this on major news channels, etc.).

Ginger, methinks you're on to something there.

Nothing's changed! how sad, I mean HOW SAD for this family!

All I am saying is I want her to get help. I hope her parents retain conversatorship. And yes the paps need to back off. It saddens my heart but their are people who made me defend my point of view. "we may pick on the britney supporters i fully admit to it but still you should write what you feel and be able to defend it cos the ladies here will make you defend it lol." Which is on page 2 of comments. So I did. I find your comments reasonable. So why do I have to defend my comments if I emphathize with Britney's parents???

:rotfl: at Cheetobaby historymystery, I saw that video and thought 1) no wonder Kaplan fired this guy, how did he ever last so long, 2) don't people usually hire pr people to make you sound better? and 3) there are probably thousands of pr people in LA and Sam picks this one to mess with Britney, Kevin, and Kaplan. Both Sam and the PR guy have axes to grind, having been kicked to the curb the same week.

Did anyone here say they wished Britney would die? I usually read that kind of posting at x17. Saying "I don't care if (some person) lives or dies" seems quite neutral and ambivalent. That's not unusual if you don't have a stake in the outcome and it doesn't impact your life.
gmrjr59 gmrjr59 9 years
Ginger it is not a matter of saying bad things but wishing someone would die is not the kind of comment I expect any of us to support. Civilize people should not say those things. That does not make for a happy community.

Claps for Ginger...I totally agree with your summary. And I agree with those that said keeping her away from the paps would help tremendously, but because she loves them and they love her it might never happen. They could save some cell phone minutes if they got those walkie-talkie things like truckers have, so that she could radio the paps (instead of calling to ensure that they'll cover her every move.) I can just imagine it: "Calling all paps, this is Cheetobaby. I'll be on Robertson, ETA 10 minutes. Over and out."

Speaking of Sam....his new PR person (in an interest twist, the former PR person of K-Fed's lawyer), admitted that Sam was feeding her a drug cocktail. Oh, and his attempts at PR for Sam? FAIL. (the Vid is on TMZ for those interested)

Just some random thoughts on the last hundred or so comments: 1) Paragraph breaks are a good thing. It increases the chances that people might actually read what you write. 2) There are some Britney fan sites where the pro-Britney view is expected. Popsugar is not one of them. 3) Everyone is allowed to voice their own opinions, good or bad, on the TOPICS here, but NO ATTACKING THE OTHER MEMBERS. 4) Until a court doc or other solid, reliable source mentions her actual diagnosis, I think it's all speculation to say she is bi-polar, schizophrenic, post partum depressed, or has a personality disorder. Many of those conditions have similar symptoms, so just because someone recognizes some action as what their relative did when they had (fill in the blank psychological issue) doesn't mean that everybody who does that action has that issue. 5) The court did find her to be a habitual abuser of drugs. Whether legal, illegal, slipped in by Sam, it's the only thing I've ever heard from an official source.

All I want to say is, were it not for the anti-depressant I am on, I would have taken my own life years ago. No one here may care about that, but my family, friends, and significant other would beg to differ. *hops off soapbox*

Tiabia, now you know Britney's crazy self is not gonna stay away from them. She cracks me up how she drives around with her windows down. I think her dad is gonna have to literally sit on her to keep her from leaving that house!

hotstuff and Le E, I think the real issue is keeping Britney away from the paps. It would probably be easier and cheaper to restrain them, than to have her stay away.
historymystery historymystery 9 years
I would suppose it depends on the individual and the situation as to taking someone against their will and drugging them until at least they can regain some control over their condition to take further steps and treatment under their own steam. Because like it or no, sometimes that's the only thing that works.
AntoniaC AntoniaC 9 years
"So if I want to drug myself up for any given condition, I have that right." I didn't say you couldn't. I'm saying it's disgusting most of the commenter's here think it's ok to take someone against their will hold them and drug them.
outofhere outofhere 9 years
It would be interesting hotstuff to know if her Dad could do that, seems like an impossible task though. Imagine the resources that would have to be used to keep the restraining orders in place. Seems like she's wasted enough of the tax payers money.

I have nothing against natural therapy myself. In fact, I know several people who have gone that route for various things with great success. And my grandfather combined natural therapy with more traditional medical therapy (radiation treatment and drugs) for his cancer with great success. It should be a case by case, individual by individual basis. So if I want to drug myself up for any given condition, I have that right. I have the same right if I want to seek out a naturopath. (did I even spell that right?) I just don't think it fair to think that I was slamming studies I haven't even had the chance to learn the names of, never mind read. Especially given the very small timeframe in which my response came in the first place.
AntoniaC AntoniaC 9 years
I recuse myself. I believe in natural therapy we will never agree.

Given that I have not had the time, nor will I until this weekend (if that) to go researching these studies that you have not even specifically named, I think it a highly unfair assessment of my judgement of the study. I was talking about In Real Life. And no, we do not know for sure if Britney Spears has a mental condition, or what one if she does, or if it's a drug addiction (illegal or perscription) or what exactly is going on. However, the discussion about medication for mental health issues, while rasied within the context of the Britney Spears situation, has a scope BEYOND that, and as such that is where I am going with all this.

So you are saying in this university and drug company sponsored experiments the drugs were incorrectly given? Furthermore it's still just speculation the girl is "mentally ill". Just last month TMZ was saying she had multiple personality disorder. I doubt they know what they are talking about.
