Britney Spears [1] made her triumphant return to the MTV Video Music Awards stage [2] on Sunday night, and while the world was happy to see her kill it again, nothing can ever quite compare to her iconic performance with *NSYNC in 1999. But the singer, who recently revealed that she would love to collaborate with ex Justin Timberlake [3], admits the high-school-themed number hasn't stuck with her as much as it has the rest of us. "I think I was with *NSYNC when I performed for the first time," she revealed to Elvis Duran and the Z Morning Zoo on Monday. "I think the whole setup was a classroom, and my four main dancers were in the front at their desk and I came out of my locker. But, you know what, I don't remember at all [4]. I have no recollection. I couldn't tell you anything about it."
Fortunately we remember it perfectly and wholeheartedly support any future Britney-Justin-*NSYNC collaboration, something Lance Bass is also here for. He echoed her sentiments about a possible mashup while recently speaking to E! News, saying, "I think everyone in the world wants to see [Britney and Justin] together again [5] in any capacity."
