although i do believe that she does have bipolar disorder or something like that, i am pretty sure she was coked out tuesday night. not sleeping all night??? sounds like coke to me. i wonder if maybe she really is on prescription drugs, but her illicit drug use just makes her episodes even more severe? just throwing that out there...

Lula29 you said: What has been verified in the case of Britney Spears is her drug use. The fact that her parents weren't really looking out for her best interest is also evident, especially with the recent news of her sister's pregnancy. Her drug use has NEVER been verified, she's always passed the drug tests even the blood sample which is much more detailed. How does Jaimie Lynn getting pregnant at 16 mean she was a bad parent. That's one of the most silliest comments I've heard on here. You would have to have a kid under lock and key with 24 hour visual surveillance for pregnancy not to happen. Jaime was also a TV star so throw that in the mix and I don't care who her parent was, good or bad, it was a chance it could have happened. A girl in my class in high school had the best parents around..he was a pastor and the mother was a fantastic English teacher at our high school, wonderful people, yet their 16 yr old (seem to be the magic age) daughter got pregnant. We were all stunned and sad for her but she decided to keep her baby. That kid is grown up now and is at his 2 yr at Clemson university on a football scholarship. Just because someone gets pregnant doesn't mean they had bad parents. I hope you don't have kids, because they say don't throw stones when you live in a glass house, and when you have kids you always live in a glass house.

To the person who said to amend the 1st amendment, no, no, no, bad idea. You do that and where does it stop. Take away the rights of 1 single american and you take the rights away from ALL. It's unavoidable. Like Britney getting some help but I do agree that the press needs to get out of her face, unless of course some specialist says it actually causes no harm. But I'll tell you this, anyone of the ladies here typing on this site, if I were to come and hang outside your home and take your picture, and then just hung around waiting to get more pics, I'd be arrested in 2 seconds flat. So why do the press get to do it. Is the press better than me? I didn't cause the death of Princess Di. All for the sake of a picture. Still, there are bigger concerns for us as members of this great planet to work on. Like hunger and homeless or unemployment. I'm a smart guy, but I've been in a transition period now for oh, about 18 months. No job, divorced, if anyone here should be depressed, it's me, yet people like Heath Ledger (APPEAR) depressed and kill themselves. Back to my earlier posting, I'll say it again, money, lots of it makes some people crazy, unhappy, lonely. I have my health and I am happy. I don't need money or a woman for that matter to make me happy, that's something that comes from within. So maybe if someone asked Britney what would make her happy, perhaps we'd get to the root of the problem and help her already before something more bad happens to her. T.T.F.N.

Jillness, she was taking adderral according to TMZ. We've seen her walk out of a store carrying a big case of red bull (EW!) over the last few days. That alone would keep someone up. Then throw in the manic episodes and you don't need meth or any of the things people accuse her of being on. My friend who was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder and institutionalized THREE times once slept about 3 hours over the course of 4 days and started hallucinating. That is when she dialed 911 herself knowing something was wrong. She's passed numerous tox screens - I think we can safely say that illegal drugs are NOT her problem. Have you ever seen anyone on meth? Its quite obvious they're on it and I don't see that in her behavior.

Oh, there's so much to say about this. Where to start . .. First, I agree with Woop. I think people have jumped to the Bipolar diagnosis because it's more comfortable to think that her behavior is not a result of her, but of some other thing that if controlled would make her better. I don't buy it. I definitely think there is drug use, depression and other psychological disorders involved, but does she have a mental illness in the sense that she's bipolar or schizophrenic, IMO, no. As far as TMZ stating psychiatrist have diagnosed her, I take that with a grain of salt. There is no denying that celeb blogs provide us with breaking celeb news, and even certain information that comes to be true after investigation, however, there are a lot of times that these blogs and tabloids get the story wrong. Heath Ledger's case is one of the most obvious. In the rush to dominate the story a lot of blogs, TMZ included were getting facts wrong to the point Anderson Cooper stated he would refuse to use them as a source and would only report on the case until facts were verified. What has been verified in the case of Britney Spears is her drug use. The fact that her parents weren't really looking out for her best interest is also evident, especially with the recent news of her sister's pregnancy. I think the bipolar diagnosis bandied about by her mother is another example of that, because IMO it absolves Lynn Spears of culpability. She can say that Britney has always been mental and difficult and cover the fact she made some obviously bad parenting choices that have led to her daughter's demise. Britney is a product of the environment that she grew up in and her demise was long time coming. It's unfortunate the way it's being played out on the world's stage, but not unusual. Technology has made it so we get to see all the dirty details. Before we had to wait for the tell all book. I could go on. I've already said a mouthful :), but I also want to say that just because I don't buy into the bipolar argument doesn't mean I don't don't empathize. I empathize on many levels that I wish to explain, but I've said way too much as it is.

although she is committed it does not mean that her right to make medical decisions is taken away. therefore this is probably a useless argument. i am more than sure she still holds the right to make medical decisions. if her parents would like to take that right away from her, they will need to go to court. being committed only mean that you must stay within the hospital for intense psychiatric evaluation. you are right, 14 days is hardly enough time for someone to be on the road for long term solutions, however it is enough time for psychiatric meds to start working after becoming at a therapeutic level, and adjusted if needed.

Wow! I missed out on 5 pages of comments! Well, all I have to add, and it's probably been written before, is that I hope this is the real thing and she's finally getting help. If this isn't rock bottom, I'm afraid to think what is for her. I hope she is truly diagnosed and treated and everyone can stop speculating now. Whether it's mental issues, drug issues, whatever..she needs to move out of California and go somewhere undisclosed to get better. She still has a chance to turn her life around and work on being a mother when she's well. I'm not hoping for a career comeback for her...not because I'm not a fan of her music but because she needs to stay out of the limelight. I hope the judge figures out what exactly Sam is doing and keeps him far away from Britney...he just seems evil to me. Trying to get authorization over her family??? I'm sure Britney's father probably wants to beat the crap out of him.

Oh great now we are arguing about freaking record contracts. It's funny how everyone is comparing someone they know to Britney's mental state or record contract. At this point who cares what Britney's diagnosis is? She needs to be evaluated by a doctor in private and treated. If she does not allow that to happen and leaves early she will likely not make it. How old are you people that seem to have an answer for everything? No one knows what the hell is wrong with Britney, not TMZ, X17, not even her own dysfunctional family. Her parents are insane along with her for whatever reason. No matter how old or rich I am, I will guarantee you that neither of my parents would accompany me to buy a damn Mercedes after I had been up for several days. That is exactly what he stupid mother did. Every person in Britney's life is an enabler. Also could you guys cut the shit with judging people. That is what thes sites do with celebs. They pass judgement on celebrities and at this point with Britney Spears somebody needs to start judging her to her face so maybe a little sense could be knocked into her stubborn self centered head. I hope that Britney allows herself to get some help this time. I also hope that people would stop feeling sorry for her and themselves and realize God has blessed you with life so go out and make the best of it. This arguing and getting in the last word is petty and you guys need to grow up and realize you don't know everything about everything because your sister's boyfriend's mother experienced it! Good day!
