Award season has begun, and on Tuesday evening, a collection of stars gathered at Cipriani 42nd Street for the National Board of Review Gala in NYC. Kristen Stewart [1] looked effortlessly cool in all white, while Jessica Chastain glowed in a gorgeous green gown. In addition to a rare appearance by Maggie Gyllenhaal [2] and her husband, Peter Sarsgaard, Samuel L. Jackson [3] posed for a series of fun photos with his costar, Jennifer Jason Leigh, who won best supporting actress for her role in The Hateful Eight. Among the other winners [4] of the night were Matt Damon [5] for his performance in The Martian, Brie Larson for her work in Room, as well as Creed actor Sylvester Stallone and 8-year-old breakthrough actor Jacob Tremblay.
