Hollywood stars came together for Stand Up To Cancer's annual television special on Friday night. The event raises money for the SU2C initiative [1], which helps fund cancer research. Halle Berry [2], Jennifer Aniston [3], and Gwyneth Paltrow [4] were just a few of the big names that took the stage to urge viewers to donate. Kerry Washington [5], Reese Witherspoon [6], and Jessica Alba [7] also lent their star power to the cause, as did Pierce Brosnan [8], who shared his own experience losing both his first wife, Cassandra, and daughter, Charlotte, to ovarian cancer. Sofia Vergara, who is a cancer survivor herself, shared the stage with Kevin Bacon [9] while her Modern Family costar Eric Stonestreet opened the show. Others, like Joe Manganiello, Grimm's Bree Turner, Jordana Brewster [10], and Dane Cook [11], sat onstage in the tech lounge answering phone calls, chatting on Facebook, and responding to messages from donors and survivors. The charitable night also saw performances by Ariana Grande [12], Jennifer Hudson [13], and Dave Matthews. To get involved or donate, visit the website now [14].
