Whitney used incentives for donations, promising that a $5 donation yielded a personal tweet, $30 got fans a gift card to whitneyeve.com, and $750 provided the opportunity to intern with the designer for a week. Despite such perks, Whitney fell short of her goal and received $10,000 through her crowdfunding attempt.
