Channing Talks Fatherhood With Letterman and Brings His White House Flick to the Big Apple
Channing Tatum had the help of his White House Down family, including, Jamie Foxx, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Joey King, when he debuted their Summer flick in NYC last night. Channing was also joined on the blue carpet by his director, Roland Emmerich, best friend and producing partner, Reid Carolin, as well as fellow costar Garcelle Beauvais, who told us that Channing was just "dreamy" on set. The crew has appeared to be having a blast on the promotional tour for the film that will be released on Friday, and last night was no exception since the gang headed to a Champagne-filled afterparty following the red carpet festivities.
New dad Channing, who welcomed his first child, Everly, with his wife, Jenna Dewan, at the end of May, has been busy promoting his latest with numerous TV appearances and parties leading up to Friday's release. Along with the premiere in NYC, he also stopped by the Late Show With David Letterman yesterday, where he explained how his newborn daughter captured his heart, saying, "I just get so excited. It's exactly what I thought it would be and more. You think you are just going to intellectually understand it, but when it happens and she looks at you for the first time — you are done." He also revealed that the name Everly was not a family name but just something his wife liked: "Jenna just heard it in her head one day."
