"She is a teeny, tiny woman and maybe it is on doctor's orders. Give her a break." This is the most ridiculous comment I've ever read. So, small women can't give birth naturally now??!! What about all the women in China? They seem to do just fine. Your size has NOTHING to do with your ability to give birth. I know women who are big whose babies got stuck in the birth canal and needed a C-section to get them out. Good lord people can be SO ignorant. I don't know why Christina scheduled a C-section and frankly do not care since it's her business. Maybe there was a medical reason? She is under no obligation to announce to the world why a C-section was scheduled. Just because a C-section is scheduled doesn't mean it's necessarily "elective".

"vaginal integrity............LOL why did brit brit get one???" OMG that is so frigging hilarious!!!!!!!
I still don't get how these Hollywood docs approve these elective c-section. Britney cause she did'nt want to go through the pain, that's what I heard Christina's was too. It's odd now when I hear a celebrity having a vaginal delivery. What they are doing is risking the health of their baby by getting these elective c-section so they don't get bigger, get stretch marks and a stretched out you know what. They know it's possible before they get pregnant and I think it's completely selfish. Even if the baby is breech any docs around here won't do a c-section until atleast your due date but usually 2 weeks after.

Christina seems more natural than most celebs, I would guess a C-Section is required, rather than because shes 'too posh to push'. Although booking it that far in advance is a little weird... The baby may be breech, which would mean a complicated natural birth. My mother had a c-section when she had me because I was breech. They kept hoping I'd turn around, but I didn't. Perhaps her baby is 'stuck' in the same way :P

I think it's Christina's choice if she wants the c-section. And there could be a reason she needs to have it.

My best friend married an OB/GYN and she scheduled a c-section strictly b/c she didn't want to feel any pain. He did not perform it, but apparently his group of doctors do it regularly. He did take her stitches out at home afterwards.

god made our bodies perfectly to have babies naturally. yes some women have to have c-sections but i disagree with elective c-sections.

I bet she is sporting full makeup in the delivery room.

there are very few real medical events that warrant a c-section (even a breach baby doesn't mean c-section). my first child was born via c-section where the doc said it was necessary, but found out later after reviewing my records that it really wasn't necessary... it was all about scheduling and what was easier for the doc. i feel bad for christina. c-sections suck! well, at least she's not like the majority of women out there. she'll have a million servants at her beck and call so recovery won't be so bad... she just won't be able to hold her baby very often... :(

I also have a feeling she CHOSE to have one, but if that's not the case then I hope everything is allright. I have to say I've known of women who've chosen to have C-sections, and honestly it doesn't make them bad mothers or bad women, it doesn't take away from their value. So for whatever reasons she may be having a C-section I respect her because she seems like she'll be a decent mother.

Completely elective c-sections are common. Not all doctors allow for them, but it's not at all difficult to find ones that will for no reason other than the mother wants one.

The only way I know that you can schedule a c-section is if you previously had one. Also, if the baby is breech it would have plenty of time to turn before Jan.10. Usually you wouldn't know of any medical conditions that would cause you to not be able to deliver vaginally until you were in labor. Therefore we must surmise that celebrities really do live in a whole other world than the rest of us! I had a baby 3 months ago and would have loved to have scheduled a c-section (not gonna lie, I was afraid of the pain) but that was never an option.

It's a myth that wearing nail polish and having your hair colored during your pregnancy will cause your baby to contact autism. Genetics determine that, and normally they're recessive. If there's any concern over wearing nail polish and coloring your hair during pregnancy, then usually it's from the chemicals in them that are likely to harm both the baby and the mom. If it appears that I'm speaking too harshly about this, it's because I have AS, which is a high functioning form of Autism. It ticks me off when some people are so ignorant about Autism and/or what causes it that I'm prone to biting someone's head off over it. I don't think Christina looks horrible with her makeup at all. Maybe Jordan is attracted to his wife because he sees the beauty from within her, and her makeup has NOTHING to do with that. Oh, and Christina HAS sense for what is beautiful and classy, unfortunately, boring earth tones and neturals aren't what everyone else consider to be beautiful and classy. I sure as hell don't think it's beautiful or classy (earth tones and neutrals) at all. Color around you makes the world go round.
