It's a sad day for Riverdale [1] fans. Cole Sprouse and Lili Reinhart have broken up [2] after almost two years of dating, Us Weekly confirms. While there are no details on why they split, E! News adds that after a "very messy breakup" earlier this Summer [3], they're "currently on much better terms." They appeared cordial when they sat next to each other during Riverdale [4]'s Comic-Con panel, but they were reportedly "spotted keeping their distance" when they attended Entertainment Weekly's Comic-Con [5] party with the rest of their costars on Saturday. Us Weekly adds that Cole was later overheard telling a friend that he and Lili split.
Lili and Cole, who play love interests Jughead and Betty [6] on the hit CW series, have been very private about their romance [7] since they first started in 2017 [8], but they did hit the red carpet together [9] on a few occasions, including this year's Met Gala [10] and Cole's Five Feet Apart movie premiere [11].
