Did Mark Wahlberg Redeem Himself on SNL?

Last week Mark Wahlberg was acting angry about Andy Samberg's impersonation of the actor on SNL earlier this month. You all were on Team Andy after watching Mark's reaction on Jimmy Kimmel, but this weekend Wahlberg went on SNL to confront Andy. In the skit he actually made fun of himself and the whole situation. Watch the clip below and tell us, do you think Mark redeemed himself?

I'm not sure if it was all a set up, but I do know that that sketch was hilarious: "You're a donkey, right? I produce Entourage."

Yeah, I thought he was joking on Kimmel...I don't see how anyone took it seriously either. It was cute though, I love him. He's the same in every movie, but that's his thing.

I'm still baffled by the fact that anyone could think that Mark was serious and can't take a joke. It's called entertainment. He's an actor. And he didn't "redeem" himself. It's all part of the big bad plan called publicity! Hello people!

I wasn't sure whether he was joking about it, but it's nice that he has redeemed himself and has had a sense of humor about the whole thing. The skit wasn't too funny though.

He was talking about it on other shows because he was setting the stage for the already booked and planned joke skit on SNL. TADOW is correct. He wasn't being serious on KImmel. These are the jokes, people!

I voted other. While I'm usually a fan of MW, he took the skit too literally. Obviously it struck a chord, b/c he's been talking about it on Ellen and other shows. Maybe he'll stop taking himself so seriously.
I don't think a lot of people got it, because maybe it wasn't that funny, but the whole Jimmy Kimmel thing was a joke and he probably already knew he was coming on Saturday Night Live at the time. It all made me laugh. I actually have all the clips back to back on my blog. They make me laugh, just jokes people, these aren't the things we should take seriously.

He had nothing to redeem! He's been joking all along and I can't believe everyone thinks it's such a big deal?

I wondered if he was mortified to be standing next to Sarah Palin in the beginning.

I think it would have been funnier if he had gone on SNL and done the entire Mark Wahlberg talks to animals skit, verbatim.

I think it was a case of the public taking things too seriously.

I thought it was awesome...there's nothing funnier than showing someone that they can't be more you than you... that's a secure person who can do that. ;) ;) I *heart* Mark :)

Great! I do not think he needed to redeem himself since I always though that he was always kidding. Love Andy, love Mark.

I don't see how anyone could NOT think that was funny! That is since everyone made a big deal out of it. I thought it was great!

I do think he redeemed himself some but I voted "No" because I agree with the "skit wasn't funny" part. Not just the one he did but the original as well. Lame. I think they just wanted an excuse to have animals on the set.

It was really funny especially when the donkey made his second appearance...and ps- I think that Andy's impression of Mark was scary good.
Yes he did. I thought Mark couldn't take joke but he redeemed his my eyes. I adore him again.
