Do Paparazzi Pictures Ruin the Movie?

We have seen a ton of images of Patrick on the set of Made of Honor. I must say, Patrick in a dress is not a McDreamy sight! We love seeing celebrities doing everyday things or on the red carpet but sometimes the overload of images on the set can ruin the surprise of a film. What do you think, does seeing the pictures ahead of time ruin a film for you?

no afcourse not, maybe the're were just having fun, what's the problem, at a dutch televion program, a singer gordon carried a wedding dress and at the publicity it doesn't looked as funny as it was, i laughed about it for three days, when people told me, just like gordon did, i just began to laugh, he was just walking outside with his friend joling and all those people we're watchingat them and he was seriously very funna and dancing insidde the room, it just doesn't say a thing about this movie, if you think it does, you have to think twice cuz other wise you're just stupid! (Btw sorry for the long message)

Yes. For example, this post. I knew next to nothing about this film, other than it had Patrick Dempsey in it but now there's that pic and you can figure a bit of the plot. For all I know it will be in the trailers (those things...) but at least I wish there were a spoiler warning and you had to click on the link to see the pics and read everything.

i think it depends what the pictures are actually of as to whether or not it ruins a movie.

Yeah, but it's not like i'm forced to look at the pictures. I choose to look at them anyway.

I don't think it ruins the movie. You can't tell too much from a picture anyways. I can tell that Patrick is def. not looking hot in that dress, its kinda creepy actually lol

I personally don't think it does. If I want to see a movie I'll see it, if I don't I won't. But that's me.

"Seeing Vinnie Chase (on pop) "dressed on the set" as Pablo Escobar when Benecio had supposedly taken that role ruined the suspense of that entire plotline. I'm all in favor of putting them up there, but maybe just after the jump." Thanks for the spoiler. Seriously. :|

"I'm just plain tired of paparazzi pictures." COMPLETELY AGREE, although I enjoy visiting Pop for event updates etc, I find it extremely distasteful that this site helps to indirectly support paps by using their pictures (often on pointless posts).

No. They definitely don't do anything more for the movie than trailers do.

nah. I typically forget what pictures I saw by the time I see the movie.

The paparrazzi shots I can live with because they're just a photo here or there. It's the movie trailers that ruin them. They used to be teasers but now they show all the good scenes. I don't feel the curiosity to see a lot of films after seeing the trailers as a result because I already know the whole story AND saw the best clips.

Nyar...I sort of hope that Transformer premiere become like Ocean's 13 premiere just because who in here doesn't mind seeing more of Shia on Popsugar. Really who doesn't? But I do think you have a great point. However, I think paparrazzi shots ruin movies also, for example Lindsay Lohan's Georgia Rule. That movie was basically about her life.

So annoying! I live in Valencia where they shoot Weeds and they were filming during my finals week. I am an avid watcher of the show and the season finale cliffhanger was so gut-wrenching however when I saw them filming it killed my anxiety about seeing the first episode of the new season. Also, with all of this talk of MK being Silas' new gf I know he isn't going to jail. I just wish somethings could be left unwritten or unread but I guess that's the price I pay for my celebrity obsession. :)

I think it depends. Sometimes, it doesn't matter, b/c it's just a random scene. But the one above, kinda does give aways parts of the plot.
