Do You Have More Respect For Ashlee Now?

Ashlee Simpson has never officially admitted to getting plastic surgery in the past, but in the latest Us Weekly she talks about her self-image and pretty much comes clean about her nose job. She said, "I think as long as people have two eyes, then you probably know the answer." It was no big secret that Ashlee had the procedure done, but now that she's being open about it, do you have more respect for her?

well she doesn't have to go around yelling that she did it, I had a nose surgery altho nobody noticed it unless I told them, as it did NOT change the way I looked it was just that I was a little insecure with my profile that's it..I swear ppl never noticed lol it was just for myself!

Don't much care for her but have to admit she looked gorgeous after her surgery.

I never lost respect in the first place... it is her choice and I can't imagine how hard it must be to be in the public eye and defend every choice you make, personal or otherwise, to the entire world. It did bother me, though, that she made a lot of comments about loving yourself the way you are, etc. and then had plastic surgery.. so I guess it bothered me at 1st, but I definitely respect her for making her own choice and admitting it even if it took awhile.

I think she has no talent and is just famous for nothing. Plastic surgery or not, I never had respect for her as an artist or preformer

Props for admitting something totally and completely irrelevant and superficial. What a is it that she gets a cover of a magazine for changing something that didn't need to be changed in the first place where she blatantly admits to doing it for pure one cares. No one puts me on the cover because I highlighted my hair and it made me feel good. She can't sing, she can't act, and she doesn't need to be talked about as much as I even am.

i think at first it kind of made me a little disappointed, and plastic surgery is still something i would NEVER do, but she does look better and if she's being honest about it then that just makes it better. it's her body, so i can't knock her for doing what felt right.

NO - Because she is still a hypocrite. Telling girls right before she had it done in Cosmo girl to "love who you are" and yadda yadda yadda and then getting a nose job and getting super thin was pathetic. If she was so insecure about herself she should have never preached to young girls to "love and accept who they are". I think she is a very fake person to be honest and has to singing talent whatsoever, she No I dont have respect for her.

I just love her anyway.

What is it with Popsugar trying to shove her down our throats so that we'll finally like her and "respect her" Enough! She's a zero talent wannabe. With or without the plastic surgery. She's not creative musically, and she's perpetually screwing up (her latest being the drunk radio interview which, in typical Ashlee fashion, she gives a lame excuse for). I could care less whether she's had surgery or not. However, she should have just admitted to the nose job a long time ago. I don't see what was so shameful about it, and I don't see how she could have tried to pretend it didn't happen, as it was such a noticeable difference. She didn't even have the courage to stand up for herself at the time, and is only speaking about it now so she can get some press. She doesn't even respect herself, why would anyone else?

NO - i don't have more respect for her now - not becuase i'm anti cosmetic surgery - but because it's not like she could really hide that one - and she tried to deny it to an extent. i don't know - i think thas she should have been honest - and i really don't respect people when changes are THAT noticeable and they are like 'gosh what are you talking about'

I think she is pathetic... not for her nose job but for her over confidence. She thinks people need to bow down to her.

This is all about attention.... She has a new album to promote what other way to get a cover?

I'm not anti-plastic, it's the 21st Century after all. But way back, (7th Heaven days) Ashlee used to say she loved her nose (pre-plastic one, that is). She said it had "character". Then all of a sudden she gets a new nose. It's like, didn't you say you loved it just the way it was. But no disrespect for her. I mean, she has her doofus moments, that's for sure. But she's pretty decent compared to Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton. And, yeah, after that whole SNL thing, she kept going on. That's cool.

No because she wasn't obligated to tell "the public" in the first place. It is her own business, not ours.

I like Ashlee Simpson...not sure why everyone hates her so much? It's difficult for me to understand why people wants (or even CARES for) her to admit that she had a nose job, which she has OBVIOUSLY had. How does having her 'come clean' about a medical procedure done to HER body make a person gain respect for her? And...why do so many people seem to insist on knowing everything about celebrities lives, even private medical information, and have confirmation from that person? Just b/c a person is in the public eye, doesn't mean they owe anyone an explanation about their personal life/health!

Was there ever any need for her to come out and say it? If it was anyone but a celebrity we would consider it rude to ask. We all knew. She knew we knew, and that should have been sufficient.

who cares whether or not she "openend up" about a friggin nose job? like she said, if you have eyes, im sure you'd notice.. thats like saying pam anderson lied about getting a boob job, its obvious she has one.
