Do You Think the Twilight Craze Will Last?

Twilight stars Nikki Reed, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart were arm in arm walking around Vancouver this weekend. They're in town to start filming New Moon and over the weekend Dakota Fanning confirmed the news that she will be joining the cast. Within the past few months, Robert Pattinson has burst onto the scene as the hottest guy in town and the third movie is rushing into production as soon as the second one starts filming. It's been quite a ride for the series and its stars but tell us — do you think the Twilight craze will last?

I can't wait to see Nikki Reed in her new movie Chain Letter and she looks so much better as a brunette than a blonde in Twilight.

This series of movies is only going to get bigger with time, even when the last movie comes out it will probably be big for a couple of years after... and I do agree the first movie was not that great... I'll admit I do love the books though!

I sincerely hope that Twilight dies out soon. The first movie was truly awful and the books were fun to read but I forgot about them as soon as I was done with the series.

I never read the books, I really dont know about them but I went to see that movie just because of Kristen, I like her since Panic room. And I fell in love with that idea of protection; Edward, eventhough he was so in love with Bella, he couldnt have her but he felt that feeling of protecting her all the time, he sacrificates himself just to protect her. This idea really was so intense to me because unfortunately, nowaday, most of the people just dont care about others, they dont want to help, they just see negativety and are selfish.

They look so cute hanging out together like that. I'd imagine it would be a blast filming a movie with a bunch of people your age and getting to travel around with them.

is it just me...but i always thought nikki reed was an odd choice to play rosalie, who is supposed to be blonde, upper middle class princess.

I enjoyed the books, very much. the whole series is very addictive. Twilight was good, hope NM, E, and BD will be a lot better! I'm so excited for them. And I really LOVE the cast. Especially Kristen, Rob and Taylor. It'll die down, just like anything...but not for the next couple years. Us fans are very loyal. I'm not a teen or a cougar, I'm 25. I love the story and the characters very much, and it's clear as day that Stephenie created a monster.

If you have read the series you will never get tired. The book is amazing and its always great to see how the movies come out. Im glad the movies are coming out quick..not like Harry POtter which i love but hate waiting so long.

I'm sorry, but I think that unless Rob Pattinson takes a bus to the face, twilight will be big big big. He's delightfully gorgeous, and despite the awkwardness of the TERRIBLE direction in the movie, he's actually a fine actor, and will be around for a while.

Hopefully it will go away soon. I don't get the appeal of the books, they're not really well written, and I don't know who's their target group with those movies. And I don't get the hype over those people who look like they don't only do drugs as a recreational activity.

I think I should 'drop in' on Mrs. Meyers tonight to inspire a new book... this one will be more realistic for the nay sayers. :)

the books are alright, but the 4th book really changed my mind about the whole series. the 4th book is one of the worst things i have ever read and i really hope the hype dies down. some of the things in those books just don't make sense to me, and just small stuff bugs me.

I've never read Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, etc., since they are just not my thing. But, my friend told me that I had to read the Twilight series. I was skeptical to say the least, but I was sucked into it only a few pages in. I ended up loving the series and enjoyed the movie too, even though it was a bit rushed and not the most accurate. Love it.

i'm not concerned with the's sad, but i just want the movies to be made. it gives me a reason to re-read the books!

Okay, the writing is bad, but are people REALLY thinking this glorifies teenage pregnancy? REALLY? Let me tell you, if what happened to Bella happened to ME when I was preggers, i'd swear off men forever. If ANYthing it's a cautionary tale... "If you get pregnant too young, look what will happen!" LOL

I LOVED the books ... didn't like the movie quite as much ... but I will be in line to see the second one - along with all my 30+ year old friends! It's a great love story.

BTW, she's like 19/20 when she has the baby and they were married first... did you read the book? Did you know the author Stephanie Myers is Mormon. I just asked my 14 yr old honor student daughter... not bad for a 'twat'. But don't you worry, womanizing 'Barney' won't get anyone pregnant, not in real life anyway :D
audreystar audreystar 8 years
Oh goodness. The comment about teen pregnancy is reaching. I doubt it will lose appeal anytime soon. Especially since Rob Pattinson is so huge right now. As for these pictures Taylor looks adorable. But Nikki and Kristen aren't impressing me at all. I hate to see them smoking to be quite honest. :barf:
